Support
SSF Slide Elements is a library of ready-made slide elements for Microsoft PowerPoint:
browse the collection in the task pane and drop an element onto the slide you are on. If it is
not doing what you expect, here is how to get it sorted.

Email is the quickest route, and it comes straight to me.

You can also open an issue on
GitHub if you would rather it were public and trackable. I read both.
What to expect: SSF Slide Elements is maintained by one person, so this is best
effort rather than a support desk with hours. I wrote the code, so you will get a real answer
rather than a ticket number, usually within a few working days.
Please include this
From the add-in — copy this into your message:
It turns a report into something reproducible, and usually saves a round trip:
- The build code. The task pane prints it in its own header, on the right:
seven characters, like
4faaae5. It says exactly which version you were running.
- Which PowerPoint: on the web, Windows, or Mac.
- What you did, and what happened instead.
- The deck, if you can share it. A file says more than a description of one.
Do not send anything confidential. A cut-down deck that still shows the problem is better for
both of us.
Worth checking first
- Does the pane say it cannot run? SSF Slide Elements needs PowerPointApi 1.2
to read your deck and insert into it. PowerPoint 2013 does not have it, so on an old enough
PowerPoint the add-in installs and then tells you it cannot run. There is no way around that
one short of a newer PowerPoint.
- Does the pane show its header and nothing else? PowerPoint could not fetch
Microsoft's
office.js library, which every add-in needs. That is a network or
proxy rule on your side; check that appsforoffice.microsoft.com is reachable, then
close and reopen the pane.
- Everything else is in the
manual: what the pane does today, what is planned, and how to install it.
Your data
SSF Slide Elements has no server and sends nothing anywhere. Your presentation is read and
written inside the task pane, on your own device, and is never uploaded. The
privacy policy says so in full.
